Director of Racquet Sports: Aly Dashiell
Bio: Aly is a graduate of Methodist University, with a Bachelors in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Tennis Management, and was previously the Director Of Racquet Sports at Corolla Light Resort for five years. She also spent 4 years as a Head High School Tennis Coach and was awarded 2019 Coach of the Year by the Northeastern Coastal Tennis Conference. In addition to her on court work Aly has served on the board of The Outer Banks Tennis Association, and along with other area pros developed and coached the Dare County Special Olympics tennis program to promote inclusivity to all.
Aly is a USPTA Professional, a PTR Instructor, and Cardio Tennis Provider. She is also a Certified Pickleball Instructor through the Professional Pickleball Registry. She enjoys teaching all ages and levels but especially enjoys introducing new players to the game. While off the court Aly enjoys a good beach day, and spending time with her husband Cam, and daughter Hadley.
Full-time Desk Staff: Clare Donohue
Bio: Clare Donohue, originally born in Denton, TX, moved to Ave Maria way back in 2010. While a proud Texan, Clare considers herself an ‘Ave Native,’ having lived in Ave Maria for over a decade. Clare attended college in Belmont, NC and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a minor in Great Books. Clare is currently pursuing her Master’s online in Bioethics from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Clare hopes to go on to work in Healthcare as a Clinical Ethicist in a hospital setting. Utilizing both her faith and philosophical background, Clare plans to help those facing tough ethical dilemmas reason to a solution that respects and protects the inherent dignity of the human person in the medical setting.
Part-Time Desk Staff: Kailie Kent
Bio: Kailie was born in Lahaina, Hawaii and moved to Ave Maria in 2011. She’s what you would call an Ave native having lived here over 10 years. She is currently a junior at Ave Maria University, planning on going into Law Enforcement, and is also on the Tennis Team! She looks forward to helping cultivate a strong relationship between The National and the AMU tennis teams.
